WEBSITE CODING
Years later after I had met and married my wife we decided to purchase a new PC - this immediately rekindled my interest in programming.
The computer world had developed, there was an 'internet' and 'email' which was all new and exciting stuff to me. Programming had changed - no longer AMOS but HTML and C++ (machine code as it was known (or |cpm)). This was a new ballgame with share-ability and almost unlimited information and learning provided via the internet.
Straight away I decided to learn HTML and a graphics system called FLASH. I purchased Macromedia Flash and Microsoft Frontpage2000 (programming software) as well as my own web server and domain name for my company. I shoved myself at the deep end and decided to program my first website using Flash and HTML - and soon found that the Frontpage system really makes things quicker and easier which is pretty much is what it says on its box!
My early websites were fairly basic, but did revolve around a graphical flash interface - which I have now changed to a straight HTML code for ease of alteration and maintenance.

The above code is a screen shot of this very page which I am programming in Frontpage2003. Pure HTML, but it enables me to easily add any photos, graphics or text to any page. I also run a virtual server which allows me to run my code before publication to the web to iron out any bugs or bad coding. I did once (dare I say this as it verges on being a virus) accidentally publish my home page to loop into a continuous cycle of load, print to screen, load, print to screen etc etc and would hang any PC that dared type its web address into the search bar. I quickly learned how not to do it!
This website does take nearly every spare hour I have to update and maintain, especially because of the unscrupulous web-bots that insist in forcing my website to advertise unwanted products - so daily updates are almost as important as the original code to make certain of the content and usability.
